Trust and Do Not Be Afraid

Today’s Through the Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 19-20; Psalm 46-48

“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD…” 2 Chronicles 20:17

The Old Testament records the history of mankind and in so doing, it holds a plethora of war and military exploits. Nations rising up to conquer other nations then falling as one stronger takes its place. Conflict between kings is a constant theme throughout the Scriptures. And the Bible tells us there’s nothing new under the sun. As long as this world carries on, the pattern of war will continue (Matt. 24:6-13). Ultimately, it’s the result of sin and man’s fallen nature.
