Morning and Evening

Praise the Lord

Today's Through the Bible Reading: 1 Chronicles 23-24

We've seen from the beginning that Jesus is the very essence of the Scriptures. The Old Testament pointed to Him through pictures, prophecies, and types. The New Testament revealed Him, God in human form.

Jesus is the perfect fulfillment of all the Old Testament requirements and procedures. Jesus fulfilled the law (Matt 5:17) so that we might experience a better way (Heb 8:6), abundant life (Jhn 10:10), and be called heirs with Christ (Rom 8:17). Part of this inheritance is now being co-labors with Christ (1 Cor 3:9); God calls us a nation of kings and priests (1 Pt 2:9; Rev 5:10).

Just as the priests in the Old Testament had jobs and tasks assigned to them, so do we.

They were to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord. They were to do the same in the evening. 1 Chronicles 23:30

Part of our daily walk is to praise Him every morning and evening. What a privilege!

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Start by filling your mind with His Word. Praise Him for who He is and what He has called us to do. He is worthy to be praised.
