Today’s Through the Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 6-8
Abbreviated Reading: Deuteronomy 7
Today’s Bible reading is full of excellent verses to memorize (hint, hint). Here are just a few that caught my attention:
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Deut 6:6-7
The LORD did not set His love upon you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all people: But because the LORD loved you…Deut 7:7-8
Do not be terrified by them, for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God. Deut 7:21
What encouragement God gives us through His Word. That's just one reason why it is so important to meditate on it day and night. It feeds our souls and sets our mind straight. If you're struggling with confusion, or find yourself not knowing right from wrong...consider whether or not you are consumed with God's Word. His Word reminds us that He loves us despite the condition He found us in. That He fights our battles for us, and fills our hearts with strength as we abide in Him.
