In the Day of Trouble - Remember

Today’s Through the Bible Reading: Psalm 75, 76, 77, 80

We’re given a sure remedy for discouragement in today’s reading. When discouragement threatens to dim the truth of God’s goodness and faithfulness, REMEMBER to set your eyes on JESUS

I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings. Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a god as our God? Psalm 77:11-13

The Psalmist in Psalm 77 was in the middle of a battle for his mind’s focus. Haunted by doubt and questioning God’s faithfulness, he says in verse 10, “I thought of a remedy for my discouragement – I’ll remember how God met us in the past and remind myself of all He’s done” (paraphrased).

With your mighty arm you redeemed your people… Ps 77:15

We can REJOICE! We've been shown the greatest love. God Himself made a way for us to have fellowship with Him. Let's be thankful today and take advantage of that fellowship as we read His Word and enjoy His presence.
