Jesus Reversed the Curse
Today's Through the Bible Reading: Exodus 7:14-9:35
Abbreviated Reading: Exodus 7:19; 7:25-8:4; 8:16-19: 9:22-35
God had and has a plan and purpose for Israel. They are His people and as such, they were protected throughout the plagues that God sent on Egypt. God was using those plagues to bring about Israel's freedom. That’s the mercy of God. Even in the midst of plagues, He cares for His people and is working ALL things for our good.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day. Psalm 91:1-2, 4-5
Despite the chaos of the world around us, God is our refuge and strong tower. He is able to use life’s circumstances and even plagues for our good. He was using the plagues in Egypt to free the Israelites. So too, He can use the hardships of this life to work in us His good pleasure.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13
So we can rejoice! God is working, doing, accomplishing all He has promised.
Say to those who are fearful-hearted, ‘Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come…He will come and save you.’ Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped… Isaiah 35:4-6
Take comfort in God’s Word today as you learn more about our great God!
You can listen to a Passover teaching I gave awhile back, "Jesus Reversed the Curse." It's sure to bless and encourage you as you consider God's plans, protection, and ALL we have in Christ.
