Looking Forward
Today’s Through the Bible Reading: Revelation 6-10
I find it quite appropriate that we're in the book of Revelation right before the start of a new year. New Years is such a conducive time to reflect on the old and gain perspective for the new... what could be a more fitting backdrop for perspective than to be reminded of our certain future - and that my friends is found in the book of Revelation.
You see, we are certainly loved by God (Revelation 5:9); we have certainly overcome the devil (Rev 12:11); and we will certainly stand in the Lord's presence, face to face with our Redeemer (Rev 7:9; Rev 20:12).
We can gain great perspective on what appear to be "trails" today when we compare those situations to our ultimate outcome as the spotless bride of Christ. Oh happy day that will be!
