“I am the Lord your God.” Leviticus 19:3

Although we may still live in this world, we no longer belong to it. That’s exactly what God was reminding Israel of in today’s reading. 

We're Christians now, followers of Jesus. We were spiritually dead and full of sin, but we've been born again (John 3:3). We’re new creations in Christ. Old things are passed away and all things made new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
