Do You Remember?

Today’s Through the Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 14:1-15:34

Have you ever gotten the kind of good news that causes such excitement that it conjures up giddiness? I love that kind of good news in life! Well, like most things in this world, even that great moment of excitement is fleeting. As people, we dull and have a tendency to require something new to keep us engaged. The apostle Paul knew that and wrote, “I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved.” (1 Corinthians 15:1, 2)

Remember that great day when Jesus saved you and made you new? That was the greatest day in life – because it brought life! As Christians we need to be reminded of the Good News of the Gospel. Like any good news, there is the possibility of forgetting just how wonderful it is as the initial emotion dulls. However, don't forget His mighty deeds and His great love for you (Ps 78:4). We have been redeemed by Jesus' blood, forgiven by His grace, justified by His righteousness, and are being sanctified through His Spirit and Word.

Let His Word fill your heart today and His truth be the best news of your day.
