The Song They Sing
Today’s Through the Bible Reading: Revelation 15-18
And they sing…the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Revelation 15:3
What a wonderful song to sing. God is just and true and His ways are perfect. He is The Perfect Judge. We don’t condemn a judge when he sentences a guilty criminal. So we shouldn't question God’s judgment when He judges those who are guilty and He punishes wickedness.
God is the only perfectly just judge and He executes righteous judgment. This is seen in today’s Bible reading as we continue to look at the Tribulation period.
“Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.” Revelation 15:4
Our hearts grieve at the wickedness we see in the world. We ache to witness so much pain and sorrow as a result of sin. But Jesus is the good and righteous Judge of all the earth. His enemies will face their day of judgment. But we are clothed in His righteousness and adopted into His family. We are His children, loved by our Father, and sealed by His Holy Spirit. We will stand in our Lord’s presence, not in judgment, but as joint-heirs with Christ, who paid our ransom price.
