How to Live

Today’s Through the Bible Reading: 2 Thessalonians 2 – 3; Acts 18:18-19:41

In today’s Bible reading Paul encourages the Thessalonian church to live righteously as they eagerly anticipate Jesus’ return.

God cares about sin in our life. He doesn’t turn a blind eye to our disobedience. He IS patient as we learn to walk with Him (2 Pt 3:9). But this is not license to live as though we aren’t His, bought with His blood, and made NEW (2 Cor 5:17). As Christians we are to live like Christ. Sanctified, set apart, different than we were before we were Christians (1 Cor. 6:11). We might still live in this world, but we no longer belong to it! (Rom 12:2) We belong to God and are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

It’s a good day to sit at the foot of the cross and reflect on all Christ has done for us. Our precious Jesus is coming again. So get out that Bible, open it up and obey what you read as you eagerly anticipate His return.
