Our Curse, Nailed to His Tree

Jesus is seen throughout the entire Bible, Cover2Cover. It ALL points to Jesus. Through prophecies and pictures, God drew paintings for us using the lives of Old Testament people. He showed us who our Redeemer would be and what He would do.  Today’s reading is no exception. Jesus is here!

…because anyone who is hung on a tree is under God’s curse… Deut. 21:23

Wow, we know that Jesus took on the curse of this fallen world and the debt of our sin as He hung on a tree, the cross.

Who His own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:24

Jesus bore our curse and freed us from sin. By His stripes we are healed (Isa. 53:5). He conquered death, rose again, and is coming back soon.
