Happy 4th of July
Today’s Through the Bible Reading: Isaiah 13–16
"In mercy the throne will be established; And One will sit on it in truth, in the tabernacle of David, Judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness." Isaiah 16:5
Oh happy day that will be when God sets this world aright and King Jesus reigns forever!
As we celebrate the 4th of July it’s good to remember that there is a throne set in heaven, unmovable and enduring where justice is established and God reigns in truth. Soon and very soon we’re going to see our King.
The Old Testament is full of account where nations turned away from God and suffered as a result...However, it is also full of accounts of God's abundant grace, mercy, and longsuffering. Whether it is our nation's godlessness, or our own hardheartedness - God is merciful. If we seek Him, we will find Him (Jer 29:13). If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive (1 Jn 1:9). If turn towards Him and away from us, if we ask Him to heal our land, He will (2 Chron 7:14).
Let's look into His Word today and seek Him with all your heart.
