A Ransom for Sin
Jesus paid it ALL
Today's Through the Bible Reading: Exodus 30:1 - 33:6
Abbreviated Reading: Exodus 30:1-11; 32:1-16
"...each one must pay the Lord a ransom for his life..." Ex.30:11
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He required a payment for sin in Exodus and He still requires a payment for sin. However, our ransom was paid by our precious Jesus. He paid the debt we owed as He laid down His life for our sin. We stand justified and forgiven, bought with the precious blood of Christ.
Before each of us could be born again we first needed to be ransomed, or redeemed. Each of us were in a spiritual state of debt. Our salvation had to start with our debt being paid and God buying us back with the proper payment for our sin.
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold…But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 1 Peter 1:18, 19
The payment for our life was costly. How much more, now that we have been redeemed, will He not take care of those things that concern our life.
