We can’t out run our past mistakes or hide from a life of regret – we need a refuge. God knows that and provides EVERYTHING we need. Today we're reading about the cities of refuge. What an awesome picture of Jesus Himself.
Jesus is our refuge. Only He can redeem our life, forgive our past, cover our sin, justify our failures, and set our feet on firm ground.
Come and see what God has done, His awesome deeds for mankind! Psalm 66:5
There’s no greater news to be told! We needed an alibi, someone to stand in the gap and plead our cause, to shelter us from the blame. That person is JESUS. He paid the debt we owed for our sin. His blood was the ransom paid to buy us freedom from sin and eternal life. Jesus paid it all, All to Him I owe.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. Psalm 66:16
He is our refuge and our perfect peace. Dig into His Word today and find strength and a secure refuge!
