Today’s Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 2:1-4:22; Hebrews 1:1-14

As Christians we have the grandest opportunity of all - to reflect Jesus in this dark world. But sometimes the battle field of this life leaves some soot and smudges that threaten to dim the reflection of Him! Ah, but God gave us a remedy to clean up the dirt and to continue to let His light shine. His Word washes the daily grime, renews our mind, and refreshes our soul (Eph 5:26, 27).

The Apostle Paul knew this and in today’s reading encourages Timothy to work hard when it comes to knowing and understanding God’s Word.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

So dig into God’s Word today and let it transform your mind and feed your hungry soul.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
